I am a registered social worker, born and raised here in Newfoundland and Labrador. I received both my Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
I use a client-centered approach, providing individualized services to each person I work with. I appreciate learning about my clients’ strengths, motivators, and values and providing them with support and guidance along their path to living well.
I have received additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
I work with individuals and couples in a variety of areas, such as: anxiety, depression, trauma, workplace trauma, work-life balance, addictions, conflict resolution, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation.
I have been working as a social worker in the St. John's area since graduating with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2013. My experience includes working with vulnerable populations, those who have experienced complex trauma, mental health and addictions concerns, and those experiencing relationship difficulties. I have extensive experience working with youth and in working in community settings.
